| Fuel Policy | Fuel is not included. The hirer must refuel the vehicle to the same level as at the time of collection. |
| Early Return | No cash refund is provided for early returns when payment is made by card. Any unused balance may be carried forward for future rentals. |
| Late or Alternative Return | Additional charges will be imposed for late vehicle return or if the vehicle is returned to a location not stated in the Rental Agreement. |
| Damages & Liability | The hirer is responsible for all damages incurred during the rental period. Any damage not covered under Collision Damage Reduction (CDR) must be fully borne by the hirer. |
| Prohibited Items | Durian, pets, fish, and smoking are strictly prohibited inside the vehicle. A cleaning fee of up to RM200 will be charged for any violation. |
| Vehicle Key Policy | Full replacement cost applies for any lost, damaged, or locked-in keys, based on the actual replacement charges. |
| Usage Restrictions | Vehicles are not permitted to be driven across the Indonesian border or used for illegal activities or the transport of restricted items. |
| Border Crossing | Prior approval is required for travel into Brunei or Sabah. Additional charges will apply accordingly. |
| Long-Distance Travel | Additional fees apply for travel exceeding a 200 km radius from the pick-up location. Failure to declare such travel will result in penalty charges. |
| Breakdown & Emergencies | All accidents, breakdowns, or incidents must be reported within 24 hours. A call-out fee will be charged for non-mechanical issues caused by negligence (e.g., lost keys or flat battery due to lights left on). |
| Acceptance of Terms | By renting from Hornbill Car Rental, the hirer agrees to all terms and conditions, including applicable Collision Damage Reduction (CDR) charges and hourly extension fees based on the selected vehicle category. |
